Ever since I blogged about them for the first time last April, my post about the Tonymoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar has been the most viewed on my blog. I didn't really like how that post was structured, so I thought I would update it here with a few photo additions :)
For those of you who don't know, Tonymoly is a Korean make-up brand. The Tonymoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bars come in several different shades. All of them come with bunny ears on the cap and each one has a different face and scent. The scent will linger for a few minutes after you've applied the product on your lips, and it'll fade after a while.
I find that they're not all equally pigmented; either way they all have the same consistency and the same feeling on the lips. They feel really creamy and moisturizing, just like a nice lip butter should be. As for the staying power, the glossy finish will fade after about 30 minutes, but the colour will stay much longer.
#02 Peach has -of course- an orange, peachey shade. In terms of payoff it's not the best as it is quite sheer and it barely gives the lips a tint, but I think it's a great product for when you're in a hurry and you want to give your lips a flush of colour and some gloss.
#02 Grape is the one I like less, because it has nearly no colour at all - it's almost a clear lipbalm with some glitter (another reason why I don't like it). As you can see from the photo, it doesn't even show up that much on the lips. I wouldn't recommend this one, except if you are a grape lover :)
#06 Orange is my favourite! It's as pigmented as, let's say, a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain or a Clinique Chubby Stick. I love how the orange tint looks with my complexion!
#03 Apple is my second favourite. It gives the lips a nice fuschia tint and it makes them look like you've just eaten some wild berries :)
Left to right: #05 Peach, #02 Grape, #06 Orange, #03 Apple
The only thing that really annoys me about these is that sometimes if you twist them up, the lipbalm won't come down! So be careful when you use them.
All in all, I really like these! The packaging, of course, is really attractive but there's more to them than just how they look outside. They are nice quality lipbutters and a good alternative to all the "chubby pencil" products that are so popular now. Plus, they look so much better :)
You can get the Tonymoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bars at Kpoptown for only $4,90, which is a steal.
