Avène Gentle Purifying Scrub

About a month and a half ago, my skin was in much needed help. It didn't have the best of textures and it felt basically gross all the time, so I decided to try the Avène Gentle Purifying Scrub - after trying the Thermal Water and Antirougeurs Anti-Redness Dermo-Cleansing Fluid from the same brand, I knew for a fact that my skin loved Avène products! 

Let me just say that when I got it out of its box, I saw that the little tube was like 70% full! Don't you just hate when that happens? I feel robbed! Anyway, on to the review. The Avène Gentle Purifying Scrub is supposed to eliminate surface impurities and unclog pores while being non-abrasive and gentle to the skin. Obviously it contains Avène water, which is known to soothe and brighten the skin. This scrub has a light gel formula with tiny exfoliating beads in it. It also is perfume-free, so it's completely suitable for sensitive skin. It can be applied on dry skin, but I usually use it on wet skin for a less harsh exfoliation. My skin definitely feels smoother and cleaner after using this, but I haven't seen any improvement in terms of unclogging my pores, which I'm afraid are too clogged for this mild scrub. 

So, I would definitely recommend the Avène Gentle Purifying Scrub if you are prone to rosacea or have in general sensitive skin but you're not looking any deep cleansing effects from a scrub. If, like me, you struggle with very oily and acne-prone skin, I suggest you try something more "potent", although this scrub could perfectly work as a weekly cleanser.



Circa un mese fa, la mia pelle aveva davvero bisogno d'aiuto. Non aveva la migliore delle texture ed me la sentivo veramente orribile, quindi ho deciso di provare il Gommage Delicato Purificante della Avène - dopo aver provato l'Acqua Termale e il Detergente Fluido Anti-rossori dello stesso brand, sapevo con certezza che la mia pelle adorava i prodotti Avène! 

Lasciatemi soltanto dire che appena l'ho tolto dalla scatola, ho visto che il tubetto era pieno soltanto fino al 70%! Non odiate quando succede così? Mi sento derubata! In ogni caso, passiamo alla recensione vera e propria. Il fine del Gommage Delicato Purificante di Avène dovrebbe essere quello di eliminare le impurità della pelle schiudendo i pori, senza essere, al contempo, eccessivamente abrasivo. Ovviamente contiene acqua termale Avène, che è nota per le sue proprietà calmanti e illuminanti della pelle. La texture di questo scrub è quella di un gel leggero con piccole perle esfolianti all'interno. E' anche senza profumo, quindi è perfettamente adatto per le pelli sensibili. Può essere applicato sulla pelle asciutta, ma generalmente lo uso sulla pelle inumidita per ottenere un'esfoliazione più delicata. La mia pelle è sicuramente più liscia e pulita dopo l'utilizzo, ma non ho notato alcun miglioramento per quanto riguarda la pulizia profonda dei miei pori, che, ahimè, penso siano troppo occlusi per questo scrub delicato.

In conclusione, consiglierei il Gommage Delicato Purificante di Avène a chi soffre di rosacea o, in generale, ha la pelle sensibile e non cerca un effetto estremamente purificante in uno scrub. Se invece, come me, soffrite di una pelle piuttosto oleosa e acneica, suggerisco che proviate qualcosa di più efficace, anche se questo scrub potrebbe essere perfettamente usato una o due volte la settimana. :)
