Today I want... #17

 photo wish-2_zpse7eaeee8.png

Since I can't experiment with moisturizers or face soaps due to the treatment I'm undergoing, I've been all about finding a good make-up remover. I'm currently using a micellar water by Lycia (I think it's an Italian brand), but I really want to try something more high-end like the Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk. Can't wait to use my current make-up remover up, so that I can purchase this!

This product's description had me at 'light, water-resistant foundation to unify skintone'. Now that Summer is approaching, I prefer to use something lighter than a foundation on my skin, and I would really like to try Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint. I'm not sure if it would work on my oily skin, though. Let me know if one of you has ever tried it!

The star of this wishlist post is Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused. You don't even know how much I crave this! Since I'm kinda broke, I've been slowly saving up money to get this miracle powder, which is not exactly cheap, and Space NK's shipping rates are definitely high, too. I'm determined to get this beauty - you can expect a post about it in the (hopefully near) future!

I have finally managed to get my hands on Maybelline 24HR Colour Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze, after maybe a year of lusting over it. It's, again, one of those products that are not available where I live - at least, not this shade. We always get the most boring ones! This particular shade of all the Colour Tattoos has been -and still is- raved about by youtubers and beauty bloggers, and I do love me a nice brown eyeshadow. The Maybelline Colour Tattoos are cream eyeshadow which come in little glass pots, and they can be used as a base for powder eyeshadows or by themselves.
The shade that I have chosen is a really pretty bronzey brown with lots of shimmer. Its consistency is quite nice and smooth, and it's easy to blend. As for its staying power, it doesn't stay on for 24 hours (who wears make-up for 24 hours straight anyway?), but it does stay put indeed! When I first got it, I swatched it on my hand and after a few minutes it was completely set. It took a whole lot of rubbing and dousing the swatch with make-up remover to take it away! It's not as hard to remove it if it's on your eyes, though, especially if it's been a few hours since you put it on.
I like to use this by itself all over the lid and blended into the crease because it's such a pretty shade and I don't want to cover it up with another product. I don't think it's that suitable for daytime wear -if you go to school, at least- because it's very shimmery and maybe it would be better to wear at night.
It's an absolutely lovely product and I would definitely get more shades of it!

I now finally have a nail wheel to swatch nail polish on, so I can start making nail polish posts! I'm a real beauty blogger now ;) no really, my nails always look awful, so it's better to use a nail wheel.
Anyway, today I wanted to tell you about one of my favourite Spring nail polishes - Essie Splash of Grenadine. I've been wearing it loads ever since I bought it about a month ago, I think it's the perfect shade for this season. It's what I call the perfect 'Barbie pink', a muted purply pink. Actually, it reminds me of the colour of orchids, too. Texture-wise, it's a creme nail polish with a shiny finish. It's perfectly opaque in two coats, with no streaks whatsoever. I also love the brush it comes with - like every nail polish from the diffusion line, it has a bigger brush which makes the applicasion so easy, even for a super clumsy girl like me.
The only thing I can complain about this nail polish is its price: as much as I love Essie nail polishes, at €12,50 they're just too expensive for me (and I just bought another one yesterday, sigh). It breaks my heart to think that they are only $8 in the UK, and even less in the US.

What do you think about it? Have you ever tried any Essie nail polish?

NYX Jazz Night palette

I recently received the NYX Jazz Night eyeshadow palette in a swap and I've been testing it out for the past few days. It's a really pretty palette that features both neutrals and coloured shades. The first row contains a matte black, a shimmery blue, a very pretty silver colour, a shimmery yellow and a purply magenta; the second row contains a shimmery white colour, a gorgeous olive shade, a dark purple, a medium dark brown and a shimmery lilac pink.
The first thing I have noticed when swatching the different eyeshadows is that they're not the same, pigmentation- and finish-wise. The black, yellow and white are quite chalky and they don't show up much. The others are much softer, pigmented and easy to work with! My favourite shades are the dark olive shade, the brown, the magenta and the pink. I made a whole look using them together and it was stunning!

What I really like about this palette is that you can create lots of different looks with it. I just wish the colours all had the same pigmentation! Also, the size of this palette is very convenient - it's about the same size as an iPhone, which makes it perfect for carrying it in your bag or travelling. Anyway, for what you're paying (around $8) it's a really nice palette and I would recommend it if you don't mind too much about the quality of some of the eyeshadows.

PS: Le Petit Faon now has a Facebook page! Go like it! :)
