Collection Lasting Perfection concealer

After hearing thousands (literally.) of bloggers and youtubers raving about the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, I was the happiest girl in the world when I finally got the chance to purchase it in real life (as opposed to online; I don't trust getting face products online, really). I'm a girl who definitely needs concealer in her life. Even though it's getting better now, acne scarring is still a problem for me. The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is supposed to be a medium to high coverage concealer, and obviously long lasting too, as the name suggests. I've been trying this product for about two weeks, both on red spots and in the undereye area. This concealer definitely deserves the hype it's been getting for the last few years! It' very high coverage (much like my trusty MAC Studio Fix) and it lasts a really long time, if not all day on less oily skin types than mine. Another thing I love about it is that it matches my skin tone perfectly, unlike my MAC Studio Fix, which is a bit too orange for me. I found that the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is perfect both to brighten up the undereye circles and to cover up any red spot or imperfection.
The best thing about this product is that it's high quality, but it's cheap as chips - I paid only $4.19 for it! I shall be very sad when I'll run out of it!

What do you think about the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer? Have you ever tried it?

My thoughts about.. Alexander McQueen F/W14

 photo alex_zpscd636b99.png

Yesterday I was catching up with Paris fashion week shows and I was simply amazed by the Alexander McQueen collection for Fall 2014. You know that I don't usually write posts about fashion shows here, but I think this show deserved one. Why call it "ready to wear"? Those are definitely not dresses one would want to wear to the office, not even if you worked for Vogue. That is pure couture. Ten gorgeous pieces of art, each one rich in details and carefully handmade. I could see that even from the 450px wide photos from Style.com. I sometimes get really annoyed by endless shows like the Chanel one - sometimes more than 80 models will walk the runway. Now, I absolutely don't want to criticize Karl Lagerfeld who is a genius of our era, but I do love a small collection with a few pieces. I love thinking how many hours of them each one took to make, because that's what makes them true works of art, and true fashion.

Today I want.. #12

Essie Fiji, Neo Whimsical, Lilacism

I've been all about pink-lilac nail polishes for the past days. I just bought Essie Splash of Grenadine a few days ago, but my thirst for delicate hues has still not been quenched! (sounds a bit creepy.) Maybe it's just that Spring is coming. Since I can't afford spending €35 in nail polishes -at least not all at once!- which one do you advice getting first: the uber famous white pink Fiji, the gorgeous pastel pink Neo Whimsical or the white-lilac beauty that is Lilacism?

Tonymoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar: Update

 photo DSC_0166_zps6ac14f73.jpg

Ever since I blogged about them for the first time last April, my post about the Tonymoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar has been the most viewed on my blog. I didn't really like how that post was structured, so I thought I would update it here with a few photo additions :)

Geo Mimi Cafe Latte Brown

I have received a pair of Geo Mimi Cafe Latte Brown circle lenses from Mukuchu a while ago and I took some time to try them out before posting about them here. First of all, its name is so cute! The other lenses from the series are called Macchiato, Waffle and Cappuccino. How cute is that? They are of course all brown toned, mimicking the hot drinks they're named after. Except Waffle, of course. You get me!
I've tried many lenses in the past, but these came in the prettiest packaging of all. The little cardboard box you see in the pictures contains the two glass vials and the contact lenses case, as well. I think that's really useful for storage, too!
Anyway, onto the actual lenses. There's a reason you won't find any good photos of me wearing these lenses. I tried to put them on for 20 minutes, but they were so uncomfortable and I had to take them of almost immediately. I fear that happened because I'm not that used to wearing circle lenses anymore! That's a shame because these are so pretty! It could also be because they're huge (let's not forget they have 15.0mm diameter!) and I prefer wearing smaller lenses. I have read several reviews of this type of lens and they all are pretty much positive on that aspect :(
While not being very easy to wear, they have a very pretty design. Since the center is clear and the outside is marked with a brown rim, I find that they mix pretty well with my natural iris colour, making my eye look insanely big! I bet they look amazing with falsies and a nice eye make up.. too bad I'm scared to wear them again :(

Have you ever tried the Geo Mimi Cafe Latte Brown lenses? What do you think about them?
