Avon Extralasting eyeshadow stick

Photobucket

After becoming an Avon rep in September, I decided to start testing out a few of their products. If I was going to sell them, I'd better try them first! I got an Extra Lasting eyeshadow stick in Moonstone for €7,00 (but as you may already know, it changes from campaign to campaign). The product comes in a stick that you twist up just like a lipstick, and I really like it this way! It's very practical if you usually take your make-up with you in your bag, because it takes as much space as a pen.
The eyeshadow itself is a mid-toned brown with almost invisible shimmer. As you can see from the swatch, since it's not super pigmented and a bit stiff as well, I'd recommend to use it as a base, or just by itself if you're going for a natural look. It will cover up the blue veins on the eyelid and give a bit of definition to the eye that way. Since it's almost unnoticeable on the lids, it's hard to tell if it lives up to its name in being extralasting! As I said however, it's a nice base for a quick neutral eye look.

EOS Star Series - Star Pink

I got a pair of lenses from MukuCHU a few days ago and I thought I'd share my thoughts about them with you. The lenses came carefully packed and they included a lens case as well. They looked like the average lenses until I realized they were pink! I'd never owned a pair of pink lenses before these ones, so I was excited and a bit scared at the same time. I was concerned the colour wouldn't suit me until I tried them on and I actually liked what I saw! They are not too flashy and they don't make you look like you're some anime character, mostly because the shade is not solid but it's sheered out. Also, the design is quite natural. The only thing that makes these lenses look unnatural is the size (14.8mm), which made the application a bit tricky. Once on, they were ok - not the most comfortable lenses I've ever tried but they weren't a disaster either. I recommend them if you're going for a full anime look, but also if you're looking for something new and a funny effect :)

Eyeko Fat Eye Stick

eyeko

Now that Winter is approaching, I really feel like experimenting with creme eyeshadows rather than with powder ones. I received this Eyeko Fat Eye Stick in Charcoal a few weeks ago from a swap with an American girl and I've really liked it so far! The product comes in a chubby stick, which makes it so cute and very easy to work with. Also, it's a twist-up pencil so no sharpener is needed!

The colour of it is a dark grey, almost black; it has a light silver sparkle, but it's almost unnoticeable. It has a creamy consistency and it glides on the eyelids like a dream! Sometimes cream eyeshadows can be a little stiff, but this absolutely isn't. I blended it with my fingers and the effect was perfectly fine. It definitely can be worn alone or as a base for a powder eyeshadow. This shade is perfect for a smokey eye look - sometimes I feel like black is just too much and I prefer using a grey shade which suits my brown eyes better. I'm looking forward to try some more shades!
