Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes palette

Photobucket

As many other ones, this Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes BR792 eyeshadow quad is part of the big swap I did earlier this year with a girl from Korea. This one was probably the item I wanted the most and it didn't disappoint me :)

First of all, the packaging. I don't think I' ever choose this product if it didn't look so nice! As everything from Majolica Majorca, it looks lovely. One thing I love about this product is that is so handy - it's so small it can be easily carried around in your bag.

The four eyeshadow are all neutrals. They're densely packed with glitter, especially the white one! I've never owned such a sparkly eyeshadow! Since they're so glittery, they're perfect for night use, which is great for me as I mainly wear make-up only when I go out at night. All the shades are quite pigmented and quite long lasting - although, again, I've worn these only at night so for three or four hours.

As for every Majolica Majorca product I own, I'm very happy with this and although it's a bit pricey (about €20) I do recommend this (:

MAC Blot Powder

The nearest MAC store to where I live is two hours away, in Rome. I don't get to go there often and I don't trust buying expensive make-up products online - I always fear to choose the wrong ones and to waste money. So, when I went to Dublin in February I made some research and I discovered where the MAC store was. I had in mind to buy two specific products, that's why my MAC shopping trip lasted about 10 minutes haha! One of the products is this Blot Powder in Medium.

As I've probably told you before, my skin is a combination - it's not dry, but it tends to get oily throughout the day. I'm trying to switch to high end make-up skin-wise, and having bought a Chanel VitalumiƩre Aqua foundation in December I wanted to substitute my drugstore powder with a better one. I went straight to a shopping assistant, I described which product I had in mind and he adviced me to get this blotting powder. He told me it's great to controil the oil during the day and mattify my skin. I was a bit surprised when he gave me the Medium shade because I always go for the lightest one, but this is really light and almost has no pigmentation. It's not supposed to cover, it's just supposed to give a matte finish.

I've been using this powder for a month now, not everyday but definitely often. There are many reasons I'm pleased with it: first of all, even though it's quite pricey (about €22, not sure though) it carries 12g of product. It'll last forever LOL
I found out it lasts for about 4-5 hours, and it doesn't look cakey even if you pack up a bit too much. I just received a Lioele product that is supposed to work almost in the same way and I'm curious to compare it with my MAC powder :)
