MAC Blot Powder

The nearest MAC store to where I live is two hours away, in Rome. I don't get to go there often and I don't trust buying expensive make-up products online - I always fear to choose the wrong ones and to waste money. So, when I went to Dublin in February I made some research and I discovered where the MAC store was. I had in mind to buy two specific products, that's why my MAC shopping trip lasted about 10 minutes haha! One of the products is this Blot Powder in Medium.

As I've probably told you before, my skin is a combination - it's not dry, but it tends to get oily throughout the day. I'm trying to switch to high end make-up skin-wise, and having bought a Chanel VitalumiƩre Aqua foundation in December I wanted to substitute my drugstore powder with a better one. I went straight to a shopping assistant, I described which product I had in mind and he adviced me to get this blotting powder. He told me it's great to controil the oil during the day and mattify my skin. I was a bit surprised when he gave me the Medium shade because I always go for the lightest one, but this is really light and almost has no pigmentation. It's not supposed to cover, it's just supposed to give a matte finish.

I've been using this powder for a month now, not everyday but definitely often. There are many reasons I'm pleased with it: first of all, even though it's quite pricey (about €22, not sure though) it carries 12g of product. It'll last forever LOL
I found out it lasts for about 4-5 hours, and it doesn't look cakey even if you pack up a bit too much. I just received a Lioele product that is supposed to work almost in the same way and I'm curious to compare it with my MAC powder :)

Some Mail Love #5

You can easily imagine how happy I was yesterday morning I came home early from school because I felt sick and found my post box literally exploding with mail! :)

My swap with a South Korean girl finally arrived - this girl is amazing, seriously. She sent me the cutest oil controlling powder ever -in other words, Lioele Oil Paper Pact- which I'll be showing you in more detail as soon as I can, as well as some Asian brand samples and a NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk which has been on my wishlist forever! I know, it's not a high end brand and so on, but it's not sold here in Italy and I don't buy make-up online often. I was planning to do a NYX haul including this eyepencil after my birthday -which is on Saturday 24th, woot!- but I guess I'll just substitute it with another item ;)

Uniqso sent me two pair of lenses in the cutest boxes ever. I was about to cry when I saw these LOL

EyecandyLens sent me two lenses in fancy pouches! I'll definitely be re-using those haha ;)

Glow&Glamour sent me LOADS of stuff. I mean, I'd asked for a pair of lenses and they sent me 2 more and a mascara LOL isn't it just great? They also included a little card for me. I already love that website <3

I was so happy to find all these things for me. Nothing cheers me up like getting mail! I'll be posting about the lenses & make-up soon :D

Kiko Shiny Lipstick in 127 Arancio Acceso

Hello! Today I'm going to review a lipstick I bought months ago -I just forgot to review it here!-, Kiko Shiny 127 Arancio Acceso.
I've been wanting to try an orange lipstick for quite a bit, so I was very pleased to find such a nice product. Since I had never tried a shade like this one I decided not to buy an expensive product - this Kiko lipstick costed only €4,50.

The Kiko Shiny lipsticks come in an average packaging, nothing too special about it.

As all the Kiko lipsticks, the texture is quite creamy, so it glides smoothly.  It stays on for about 4 or 5 hours; after that, it needs to be reapplied. This product is highly pigmented; I think this one is a great shade for summer! (I didn't use any lip liner in the photo, that's why it bleeded around the corners of my lips! Sorry about that)

I know Kiko cosmetics are not directly available to many of you (I think they're sold only in Italy), but if you can, get your hands on this lovely lipstick. You won't be disappointed :)
